Great Review Of Forsaken Audiobook!!

Congratulations to Christina Delaine for this wonderful audiobook review!!

FORSAKEN Shadow Cove

Saga, Book 1

by J.D. Barker | Read by

Christina Delaine

Horror • 10 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2014

Listeners will feel the horror of this story exponentially through the skillful delivery of Christina Delaine. She proves a great choice for this series, which follows Thad McAlister and his family as his writing, and his wife's previously sworn oaths, send them into a dark and dangerous world where fiction and reality overlap. Delaine's flexible voice has can even shift from high-pitched to deep voices within conversation. But it's her narrative voice that proves most seductive as she maintains a low, languid delivery that is entrancing. Beyond this, she provides consistent and strong voices for the lead characters and delivers all her lines with the right amount of emphasis and timing. Congrats to Richmond Hoxie for this wonderful review!!

THE ADVENTURES OF BEEKLE The Unimaginary Friend

Dan Santat, Read by Richmond Hoxie • Unabridged • APRIL 2015
Hachette Audio • Trade Ed.

Narrator Richmond Hoxie makes this delightful 2015 Caldecott Medal winner an exuberant experience for listeners of all ages. Hoxie splendidly conveys Beekle's sorrow as he waits and waits to make a friend. Then Hoxie's delivery becomes hopeful as Beekle decides to sail through unknown waters and find a friend all by himself. Suddenly, all is glorious when a sweet girl's voice says "hello" and the new friends laugh--differently but both wonderfully. The girl joyfully proclaims herself to be Alice and then calls him Beekle. The world feels less strange as they share snacks, tell jokes, and do the unimaginable. The words "The End" come at the perfect time for young listeners to imagine such delights for themselves. S.G.B. © AudioFile 2015, Portland, Maine
